Information was obtained from company representatives and SFBT research. In case of ties, number of total Greater Bay Area employees was used as secondary ranking criteria. Companies that did not provide a manufacturing headcount or did not respond to requests for information are not included. The following companies ranked last year did not report updates by press time: Flex Ltd. (No. 6 on last year’s List); Sugar Bowl Bakery (No. 24); TenCate Advanced Composites (No. 31); American Licorice Co. (No. 42); Kettle Cuisine LLC (No. 43) and Circa of America (No. 48).
